Airbnb Apartment

2025
Residential

The project features a 64 m² apartment located in the center of Bucharest, designed for short-term rental. The space includes a living room with a dining area, hallways, a kitchen, one bedroom, one bathroom, and an enclosed interior balcony.

The design concept draws inspiration from the atmosphere of Morocco, from the terracotta tones found in its architecture to its natural textures and colourful fabrics. The colour palette is built around two main accent colours — brick red and dark blue — complemented by shades of beige, white, and brown. Light wood textures bring warmth to the space and contribute to a pleasant, familiar atmosphere that feels like home.

Completed

Built around what was already there.

Some of the existing elements were preserved: all the doors, the bedroom wardrobe, the bed, and the sofa. The design process was developed around these pieces, integrating them into a cohesive and contemporary interior.

A floor that can take it.

For the flooring, SPC planks with a wood-like finish were chosen — a durable and hard-wearing material suitable for high-traffic areas. It is also a practical solution for a rental apartment, being pet-friendly and easy to maintain in case of contact with water.

Light that works, objects that move.

The lighting is predominantly technical, combining wall lights, magnetic tracks, and spotlights. The decorative elements are minimalist, yet present through colour and texture, and were selected so they can be moved and rearranged according to the preferences of those staying in the apartment.

Outcome

After a few rentals, we are happy to see that we have also left room for customization. And the guests’ enthusiasm for moving things around the apartment has confirmed that the space is, indeed, being lived in and adapted by each of them.
